Level 3: Advanced training for 16 – 25 year olds – “Footlighters”
Congratulations to all those placed on our Level 3 training programme!
The “Footlighters” programme is the next level of development for exceptional performers. With every year that passes the standards get higher. The aim of the programme is to train young people to go on to performing arts colleges and into the profession.
Past “Footlighters” include:
Jayne Wisener (Johanna – “Sweeney Todd”; Mary Phagan – UK premier of “Parade”)
Niamh Perry (Belle – “Only the Brave”, Snow White – Snow White”; “Phantom II – Love Never Dies”; Sophie – “Mamma Mia”)
“Footlighters” have been asked to perform at numerous high profile events and performances including: The Waterloo Ball, Launch of the Aston Martin, BBC Children in Need, Lions Club, Re-opening of the Grand Opera House, Belfast.
For anyone taking part in the programme we will send you a pack full of information about the programme, the artistic staff you'll be working with, the commitment you make by accepting a place, and the cost of taking part.
As detailed we have subsidised your fee through funding and sponsorship however it is necessary to charge a small course fee which covers a percentage of the overall costs involved: training, pastoral care, catering, etc. This is all explained in the letter of offer.
You will find a fundraising pack in the Downloads section - this should help you think of ways to help raise you fee. If you need any further advice / guidance, give us a call at the office.
